Services for Leonard B. Scott, 78, of Lubbock will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Sanders Funeral Home Memorial Chapel.

Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.

He died on Sunday, Oct. 15, 2000, in Covenant Medical Center.

He was born on June 10, 1922, in Campo, Colo. He moved to Lubbock in 1953.

He married Geraldine Miller on Dec. 1, 1950, in Kansas City, Kan. He graduated from Arkansas City High School in Kansas. He attended Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa. He was a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran of World War II, serving as a pilot.

He owned and operated Scott's Pest Control before his retirement.

He was a member of the Texas Pest Control Association, the National Rifle Association and the Professional Bull Riders Association.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Mark of Lubbock; a daughter, Barbara Lester of Lubbock; two brothers, Billy of Arkansas City and Jimmy of Galva, Kan.; three sisters, Dortha Beers and Phyllis Raber of Winfield, Kan., Wynona Duling of Wichita, Kan.; and seven grandchildren.
