Marguerite Capodanno, 92, passed away after a 10 year battle with Alzheimer's.

Marguerite graduated from St. Paul's Commercial School and began working for three psychiatrists before she married and became a mother and homemaker. She was a longtime member of St. Anthony of Padua Church and the St. Thomas Senior Center. Marguerite always volunteered and graciously took care of friends and neighbors in need of her help, and was endlessly devoted to her family, for which she possessed the deepest adoration. Marguerite moved from Wilmington to Pennsylvania in 2003, later moving to New Jersey in 2004. In May 2007, she was placed in the Genesis Nursing Home in Voorhees, NJ. Marguerite was predeceased by her husband, Vincent Capodanno. She is survived by her 3 children, Johann Capodanno of Erial, NJ, Thomas Capodanno, and Patricia Capodanno, both of New Castle, DE. She was a loving grandmother to 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 9th and DuPont Sts. in Wilmington, on Saturday morning, June 27 at 10 am. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday, preceding mass from 9-9:45 am. Interment will be held privately in Cathedral Cemetery, Wilmington, DE.

The family requests the omission of flowers. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Anthony of Padua Endowment Fund, 901 N. DuPont St., Wilmington, DE 19805; or the Alzheimer's Association, Delaware Valley Chapter, 399 Market St., Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
