Robert E. Kochis, 72, passed away on July 8, 2008. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Lelia; one daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Donald Orisillo, R.I.; three sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Chinh Kochis, Binghamton, Steven and Julie Kochis, Vestal, Robert E. II and Aziza Kochis, Binghamton; three sisters, Mildred Rifenbury, Binghamton, Isabel Mrkus, Binghamton, Genevive Hoover, Binghamton; one brother and sister-in-law, Eugene and Rose Kochis, Apalachin; seven grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Robert was a member for many years of Laborers Union Local 7 in Binghamton and also enjoyed and excelled at bowling winning the Press Tournament championship.
A funeral service will be held Friday, July 11, 2008, at 11 a.m., at the Savage Funeral Home, 338-344 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton, with Rev. Msgr. Michael Meagher officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 10, 2008, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.savagefs.com.
