Deceased Name: Verl "H" Anderson FIELDING, Utah Verl "H" Anderson, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away early Tuesday morning, Sept. 5, 2000, at the age of 80. He was born May 18, 1920 in Bothwell, Utah, to Eli and Ella Anderson.
He graduated from Bear River High School in 1938 and was married to Madge Earl on June 6, 1941, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Verl was a member of the Hampton Ford Ward where he has served in many callings. He served as councilor in the bishopric, stake missionary, and temple worker.
He was a prominent farmer and sheep breeder in Fielding, Utah. He showed champion sheep from coast to coast and received many grand champion awards, trophies and ribbons. His most prestigious recognition was the Columbia Silver Bell trophy, an award he received for being the best Columbia Sheep breeder in the United States on June 9, 1995, at the National Columbia Show and Sale in Douglas, Wyo.
He is survived by his wife, Madge, of 59 years, and his children, Sharon Rytting (Santa Rosa, Calif.), Janet Leming (Overton, Nev.), Earl Anderson (Fielding, Utah) and Garon Anderson (Fielding, Utah). He has 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Keith "H" Anderson (East Garland, Utah), and sister, Eloise Martineau (Morgan, Utah).
Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2000, in the Fielding Stake Center. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, 2000, in the Fielding Stake Center and from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday prior to the services.
Interment will be in the Fielding City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Allen-Hall Mortuary.
