Obituary - Preston, Idaho - Lincoln Bertus Wanner, 73, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2001, in Preston, Idaho.
He was born Feb. 12, 1928, in Preston, Franklin, Idaho, the son of Fred and Eva Christensen Wanner. He married Arlene Sharp on Dec. 2, 1948, in the Logan, Utah Temple.
He was active in all the auxiliaries of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in the bishopric in Glendale. He enjoyed raising and showing appaloosa horses, hunting, and fishing with his family. The most important thing in his life was his family.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene, of Preston; four sons, Jerry B. (Juanita) Wanner, Preston, Steve M. (Vickie) Wanner, Preston, Bruce L. (Susie) Wanner, Pocatello, Idaho, Randy L. (Jill) Wanner, Preston; 20 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lyman Wanner, Pocatello, Idaho, Stanley Wanner, California; two sisters, Carma Long, Mapleton, Idaho, Eva June Lewis, Tooele, Utah, and by a half-sister, Mary Ann Cordingley, Logan, Utah. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a daughter, Vicki Wanner.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday in the Whitney 2nd Ward chapel with Bishop Greg Griffeth conducting. Friends may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home and from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the church. Interment will be in the Preston, Idaho Cemetery.
