Services Held Here For Maggie Harlow
...Former Resident Was 81
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon from the United Methodist Church in Table Rock for a former long-time resident, Mrs. Maggie Harlow, 81, who died May 23rd in a hospital in Cambridge, Nebr.
Mrs. Harlow had lived here over fifty years before moving to Arapahoe to live with her daughter nine years ago.
Interment was in the Table Rock Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Robert Freeman, Marvin Kent, Glen Kent, Joe Tomek, L. E. Stehlik and Phillip Rabstejnek.
MAGGIE MAY HARLOW
Maggie May Duryea Harlow was born February 28, 1893 at Corinth, Ill. to Andrew and Emma Duryea, the seventh of eight children. She passed away at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital in Cambridge, Nebr. on May 23, 1974, at the age of 81.
Early in 1900 her parents brought their family to Nebraska.
Maggie was married to Charles F. Harlow on October 18, 1912, and they were the first couple to be married in the Pawnee County Courthouse. They made their home in Table Rock, Nebr. where Maggie was a 50 year member of the Rebekah Lodge.
During the past nine years Maggie has made her home in Arapahoe, Nebr. with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James Hinds, with exception of the last 1 1/2 years when she lived in the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Arapahoe.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. James (Erma) Hinds of Arapahoe, and Mrs. Frank (Doris) Palazzo of Tulsa, Okla.; two sons, L. Charles of Deer River, Minn, and L. Robert of Lincoln, Nebr. She is also survived by two sisters, Anna Miller and Pearl Freeman of Table Rock; six grandchildren four great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, three brothers and two sister.
