Mrs. Black, 85, of Glasgow, died Friday, Dec. 24, 1982, in Mercy Hospital. She was born Sept. 26, 1897, in Flinton, the daughter of Valentine K. and Emma (Boring) Gallagher, and was twice married, first to John F. Igou, then to William M. Black. Surviving are four daughters: Mrs. Ellen Harren of Altoona, Mrs. Edna M. Potter of Glasgow, Mrs. Aileen Noel of Fallentimber RD and Mrs. Geraldine Arnold of Coalport RD; 20 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother and six sisters: Blair of McConnellsburg, Mrs. Mary Good and Mrs. Ann Kough of Fallentimber; Mrs. Verda McCracken of Flinton, Mrs. Laudelle Beers of Blandburg and Mrs. Janet Shea of Englishtown, N.J. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in the Plass Funeral Home, Glasgow.
BLACK ­ Services for Bertha Black-Igou of Glasgow will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Plass Funeral Home, Glasgow, by the Rev. Richard Lehman. Interment in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Glasgow. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in the funeral home.
