Annie "Anna" Jacobson Brookman, 83, formerly of Dublin, Virginia died Tuesday June 2, 2009 in the Wishard Hospital, Indianapolis, IN. She was born in Pulaski, VA on August 18, 1925 and was the daughter of the late William Jacobson & Sarah Spence Jacobson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Willie G. Brookman, five sons, William and Robert Eanes and Gene, George and John F. Brookman, two brothers, Malcolm Jacobson and Charles Jacobson, and two sisters, Mildred Linkous and Doris Dickerson. She was a retired employee of Coleman Furniture Corp. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Pulaski. Surviving are her daughters, Sara Parks, Ruth Vollrath, Juanita Gay Sparks, Faye Hoffman; son, Wayne Brookman, 19 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 6, 2009 at noon from the First United Methodist Church, Pulaski with Rev. Hugh Kilgore officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Pulaski. Visiting will be Saturday morning from the church where the family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski, Virginia.
