Sharon was born July 13, 1945, in Ottawa to Edward S. and Dorothy (Loebach) Hanlon. She married Donald O. Armstrong on June 29, 1972 in Ottawa. She was a police dispatcher for the LaSalle County Sheriff's Department, Marseilles and Seneca Police Department. She was a member of Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints and the Women of the Moose Lodge #960 in Ottawa. She was an avid quilter.
She is survived by her mother, Dorothy of Marseilles; her husband of 37 years, Donald of Ottawa; one daughter, Amy (Tony) Zulfer of Sheridan; three sons, Joe Seaman of Seneca, Jeff Armstrong of Marseilles and Jason (Stephanie) Armstrong of Morris; five grandchildren, Morgan and Colten Akre, Brady Armstrong and Allison and Andrew Zulfer; two brothers, Steve Malhan of Marseilles and Charles Hanlon of Marseilles.
She was preceded in death by her father and two brothers, Mike and Ronald Hanlon.
Services: Mueller Funeral Home, Ottawa.
Burial: Riverview Cemetery, Marseilles.
