Mrs Eugene Ernst Dies - Mrs. Eugene Ernst, 32, of Duncan, passed away at 6 p.m. yesterday at Columbus hospital, her death resulting from complications incident to the birth of a baby daughter on Aug 26 when she underwent a Caesarian operation. For several days after the operation, Mrs. Ernst was apparently making steady progress toward recovery, but complications developed from which she could not rally. As Caroline Mae Gerber, she was born June 2, 1900, at Duncan, where she spent her entire life. On April 23, 1930, she was united in marriage to Eugene Ernst, of Duncan, and they established their home on a farm a half a mile south of Duncan. She is survived by her infant daughter, her husband; her mother, Mrs. Hedwig Gerber of Duncan one sister, Mrs. Henry Blaser, Jr., of Duncan, and five brothers, Chris, Edward, Albert, Arthur and Lester Gerber, all of Duncan. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Ernst home and at 2 p.m. at the German Reform church, with Rev. C W Deglow, pastor, officiating.
