Floyd K. Hensley

Floyd Kenneth "Tiny" Hensley, 70, of Route 1, Bumpass, died Oct. 24, 1993 at St. Mary's Hospital in Richmond. He had not been well for the past year.

Mr. Hensley was born March 22, 1923, in McGaheysville and was a son of the late Floyd Grover Hensley and Annie Gertrude Hensley.

He lived in McGaheysville until he moved to Bumpass seven years ago. He was a retired farmer and a member of the V.F.W. Gooden Brothers Post No. 9282 in Elkton. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II.

On Jan. 3, 1945, he married the former Almeta Kyger, who survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Linda H. Davis of Harrisonburg; two sister, Edith Toombs of Spotsylvania and Marjorie Stroop of Penn Laird; one brother, Howard Randy Hensley of McGaheysville; one half brother, Clyde G. "Bill" Hensley of McGaheysville; and one grandson.

The Rev. Wayne Wright will conduct the funeral at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Lindsey Harrisonburg Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Mount Olivet Cemetery in McGaheysville.

The family will receive friends 7-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
