She was born January 25, 1926 in Salt Lake City to Junius and Bertha Keyes.


She married Alvah Blackburn on October 31, 1946.


June was a published poet. She loved swimming, playing practical jokes, working with the handicapped, loved her church callings, and being involved with the Scouts.


She had a great gift for working with the youth and was loved by many. June loved spending time with her grandchildren and taught them how to play Ms. PacMan. She spent time with her great-grandchildren and had fun arm-wrestling with them. She was a great fun-loving person who will be missed very much. We love and miss you grams.


June is survived by her children, Calvin (Colleen), Alan (Manya), Maureen (Paul) Henderson, Loyd, Gail; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband; parents; five brothers; one sister and a son "Tinker".


Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road (1700 West). A viewing will be held on Tuesday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. at the mortuary and one hour prior to the services.
