DEATH OF AMBROSE COCHRAN WEDNESDAY MORNING

Ambrose Cochran passed away at the McPherson County hospital at 1:30 Wednesday morning after being ill for some months. He had been at the Colonial Home in McPherson for the past 11 months and was 82 at the time of his death, which was due to pneumonia.

Mr. Cochran had farmed seven miles northeast of Little River in the Harmony community for 57 years, but was forced to retire a year ago on account of advancing age and the inability to get farm help.

His wife and a daughter, Mrs. Pete Hunsinger, live on a farm just east of McPherson. Other survivors are three sons, Albert of S. Helena, Calif., Earl of Douglas, Nebr., and Jerre of Lamar, Kans., also several grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held from the Little River Congregational church Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Percy L. Perry in charge. Interment will be in the local cemetery.
