First of 11 children born to Jacob Lungren, Sr. and Anna Marie (Walter) Lungren. Married Elizabeth Deines on November 26, 1916 at Sheridan, WY. They had 10 children.

After the death of his first wife, he married Orpha McGee, a widow from Greybull, WY on January 10, 1976. He was 81 years old at the time.

Northern Wyoming Daily News, July 23, 1987:

"Adam Lungren, a longtime rancher and farmer in Washakie County, died Sunday at his home south of Worland. He was 92.

Lungren was born Oct. 2, 1894 in Kundther Franzosen, Russia, the eldest of 11 children of Jacob and Anna Marie Lungren.

He immigrated to America with his family on the S.S. Silvia, arriving in New York on April 7, 1905 enroute to Sugar City, Colo. Before settling in Worland in 1922 to ranch and farm, his family lived and worked in Colorado, Kansas, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Sheridan.

On Nov. 26, 1916, he married Elizabeth Deines in Sheridan. She died in 1972. He then married Orpha McGee of Greybull on Jan. 10, 1976.

Lungren became a naturalized American citizen on Feb. 4, 1936. He was a charter member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Worland and a member of several farm and ranch organizations. An avid hunter, fisherman and sportsman, he was a member of the Worland Rod and Gun Club and the Farmers’ Baseball League.

Survivors include his wife of Worland; three sons, Victor of Cheyenne, Rueben Lungren and Lloyd Lungren Sr., both of Worland; six daughters, Mrs. Roy (Mollie) Schaff of Riverton, Mrs. Bruce (Sharon) Perryman of Hibbing, Minn., Mrs. John (Dorothy) Sheuerman, Mrs. Jack (Bernice) Stine, Mrs. Marvin (Irene) Fritz and Mrs. Irma Geis, all of Worland; and a step-daughter, Mrs. Boyd (Roberta) Crawford of Fort Benton, Mont.

In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. William S. (Alvena) Barnes; by a granddaughter, Jennifer Scheuerman; by a sister, Mrs. Jake (Lydia) Deines; and by five brothers, Jacob, henry, John, Carl and George Lungren.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Zion Lutheran Church in Worland, with the Rev. Tim Jantos officiating. Burial will be at Riverview Memorial Gardens Cemetery."
