Obituary - Aunt Polly Dawson, one of the oldest residents and pioneers of the county, died at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Morris Crist in Stockland township, April 24, 1908, aged 95 years, 4 months and 10 days. She was born Dec. 14, 1812 in Pickaway county, Ohio.

She was married on Aug. 18, 1831 to Elisha Dawson. To them 12 children were born, of whom six and the father preceded her in death. In 1851 they moved to Illinois. She leaves behind 6 children, 35 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Sugar Creek chapel Sunday afternoon conducted by Rev. J.M. Tuggle of Park county, Ind., a former pastor of Mrs. Dawson. The remains were laid to rest in the chapel cemetery.
