Sarah A. "Granny" Grider, 70, of Curran died at 8:02 p.m. Tuesday at St. John's Hospital. She was born Dec. 28, 1921, in Thompsonville, Ky., the daughter of Frank and Fanny Jamieson Baskett. She married Garlin Grider in 1944. Preceding her in death were one daughter, Joann, two brothers and four sisters.
Surviving are her husband, Garlin; two daughters, Mrs. Jim (Jenny) Gietl and Mrs. John (Judy) Harney, both of Curran; two sons, Carl E. Rush of Buffalo and Travis Grider of
Curran; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Bedford Baskett of Shelbyville and J.B. Baskett of Springfield.
