Services for Minnie O. Smith, 92, of West Monroe will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, August 30, 1994 at Kilpatrick's West Monroe Chapel with Dr. John Traylor officiating. Burial will be in Myrtle Memorial Cemetery in Winnsboro.
Mrs. Smith died Saturday, Augest 27, 1994 at Ridgecrest Nursing Home.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Monroe. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband Alvin L. Smith and a son A. L. Smith.

Survivors include her step-sister, Iris Meredith of West Monroe; step-brother, George C. Skinner of Vinton, LA; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Pallbearers will be Daryl Meredith, Sidney Meredith, Billy Latham, Sr., Billy Latham, Jr., John David Ramsey and John Scott Ramsey.

Visitation will be Monday from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Tuesday after 9 a.m. at the funeral home.

Minnie married Alvin Lorenzo Smith born June 7, 1890 in Winn Parish, Louisiana. They had a son, Alvin Lorenzo Smith, Jr. born April 22, 1921. They moved to Monroe, LA and owned their own home on South 2nd St. there.

She had two sisters, Eva and Della, and a brother, Thomas Floyd Skinner.

Minnie died at the age of 99.
