Wyatt Curtis Byrd, 75, of Laurel, died Sunday, April 2, 2006 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Goodwill Baptist Church with burial in the Goodwill Baptist Church cemetery. The Rev. Charles Shelton will officiate. He was retired from Kyzar Aluminum and a veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Goodwill Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Millard and Annie Byrd and two brothers, Hal and Vester Byrd. He is survived by his wife, Ora J. Byrd of Laurel; three brothers, Paul S. Byrd and Charles Byrd, both of Laurel, and J.D. Byrd of Sandersville; two sisters, Anice McCarty of Brookwood, Ala., and Betty Collins of Ellisville. Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. Monday at Jones Funeral Home in Ellisville, which is in charge of arrangements.
