On December 24, 1850 as M.H. McCuistion, he married M. Johnson at Lamar County, Texas.
They were the parents of six children.
On July 15, 1866 as M.H. McCuiston, he married Nannie Moore at Lamar County, Texas.
Per the 1900 Census for Paris, Texas, they were the parents of eight children with six living.
