FRED B. HARDESTY DIED LAST NIGHT
Fred Beecher Hardesty passed away Tuesday night at 10:45 at his home, 115 Water street, following an illness of several months duration.
He was born in Pine Rock township, Ogle county, February 23, 1876, and was the son of George and Amanda Hardesty of Washington Grove.
Mr. Hardesty was united in marriage to Edith Eakle, February 21, 1899, who survives him. Shortly after his marriage he moved to Dixon and for the past 14 years has been employed at the Laing feed mill.
Besides his widow, he is survived by an only son, Harold B. Hardesty of this city, his mother, Mrs. Amanda Hardesty, of Washington Grove, one sister, Mrs. William Girton of Dixon and a brother Edward B Hardesty of LaFayette township. His father and one brother preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the home and at 2:30 at the Christian church, Rev. B. H. Cleaver officiating. Burial will be in Washington Grove cemetery north of Ashton in Ogle county.
