Alice T. Butler

Alice T. Butler, 87, of Prospect Park, Pa., formerly of Fredericksburg, died Saturday, May 6, 2006, at Fair Acres, Lima, Pa.
Born in Spotsylvania County, Mrs. Butler was employed as a sales clerk at Strawbridge and Clothier for 25 years. She was formerly employed by J.C. Penney Co. in Fredericksburg.
She was a former member of Prospect Park Methodist Church and had served as a riveter during World War II at Quantico. She also loved gardening.
Survivors include three daughters, Alice J. Daniel, Kimley T. Butler and Patricia C. Clark; and two grandchildren. She was the daughter of the late Calvin M. and Mattie Jones, and the widow of Edward P. Butler. She also was preceded in death by her son, Lawrence P. Butler.
A funeral will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 11, at Cavanagh-Patterson Family Funeral Home, 43 E. Baltimore Ave., Media, Pa. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Fredericksburg.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
