On Monday evening, at the State Mental Hospital at Oshkosh, Mrs. Maria (nee Duerrwaechter) Hanske the widow of Edmund Hanske who, in September of 1914 after an automobile catastrophe subsequently died in the Village of Marshals, (Cook County, IL). The deceased was born on December 9, 1868 in the Town of Schleswig, and was married to Edmund Hanske on July 14, 1891, since then the couple has lived in Kiel, until her husband's untimely death. Since then Mrs. Hanske has remained mute, suffering from a nervous breakdown. She was admitted to the Mental Hospital in Oshkosh in September, where she now has found relief in death. She leaves behind one daughter, her father, five brothers and two sisters, The funeral will take place on Wednesday morning in Kiel, from the home of Otto Duerrwaechter. The burial will take place in the afternoon at the Kiel Cemetery, with Pastor Rech officiating.
