Josephine Lowe Earlywine, age 88, of Carlisle, Kentucky, widow of Audrey Earlywine, died Wednesday, January 7, 2004, at Johnson-Mathers Nursing Home, in Carlisle. She was born in Nicholas County, Kentucky, to the late John and Susan Campbell Lowe. She was a member of Marie Chapter Order of the Eastern Star and a member of Pleasant Valley Church of God.

Survivors are: five sons, Billy Earlywine and Roy Earlywine, both of Paris, and John Earlywine, Walter Earlywine and Kenny Earlywine, all of Carlisle; a daughter, Faye Ring, of Carlisle; a sister-in-law, Ruth Lowe, of Covington; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, George Lowe, Roy Lowe and J.R. Snapp.

Services were conducted Saturday, January 10, at Pleasant Valley Church of God by Reverend Mike Pennington and Reverend Steve Smith. Burial was in Dayton's Chapel Cemetery. Casket bearers were Jerry Bloomfield, Jackie Howard, Chris Howard, Dennis Lowe, Elmo McCord and Darrin Ring. Arrangements were by Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home. Contributions are suggested to Pleasant Valley Church of God.
