John E. Earlywine, age 76, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014, at his home. Born on February 18, 1938, in Nicholas County, Kentucky, to the late Audrey and Josephine Lowe Earlywine, he was a retired dairy farmer and factory worker and attended Pleasant Valley Church of God. In his spare time, John enjoyed dancing, fishing and camping. When he could no longer get away from home, he loved watching birds, especially the hummingbirds.

John leaves behind to cherish his memory: his companion of 16 years, Dorothy Woosley, of Carlisle; three sons, Michael Earlywine, of Pennsylvania, and John Earlywine, Jr., and James William (Meredith) Earlywine, both of Mississippi; a daughter, Dallasanne Earlywine, of Mississippi; a sister, Faye Ring, of Carlisle; two brothers, Kenny (Terry) Earlywine, of Carlisle, and Bill (Dorothy) Earlywine, of Paris; eight grandchildren, James, Jr., Emily, Madison, Haleigh, Latisha, Tyrenka, Alexis and Denise; five great-grandchildren; four step-children, Rebecca Woosley and Duane Woosley, of Carlisle, Fran Stephens, of Oklahoma, and Nancy Perrone, of Florida; seven step-grandchildren, Melissa, Travis, Brian, Matthew, Richie, Chris and Jacob; and six step-great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 13, at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Brother Greg Tucker. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memory Garden.
