Dee was born November 1, 1919 in Floydada to Poin Dexter Adams and Minnie (Harper) Adams. He graduated from Floydada High School in 1937 and was a lifelong resident of Floydada. Dee married Nita Craft on June 25, 1938 in Floydada. He was a farmer/rancher and broke horses for people in town. He loved hunting and being outdoors. Dee served his country in the Merchant Marines during WWII. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Dee was preceded in death by his parents.
Those left to cherish his memories are his beloved wife of 70 wonderful years, Nita Adams of Floydada; a son, Roland Adams and wife Charla of Lubbock; and seven total grand and great-grandchildren.
