Car-Tractor Wreck Kills County Man
A 69-year-old Pulaski County man was killed Wednesday afternoon when the farm tractor he was operating was struck from behind by a car as both vehicles travelled south on Route 100. Trooper L.F. Warden reported that James David Bentley of Route 2, Dublin, was dead at the scene after he was thrown off the tractor which then overturned on him. Donald Lee Wimmer, 22, of Eggleston in Giles County, has been charged with involuntary manslaughter and reckless driving following the 2:30 p.m. accident. The accident occurred about two miles north of Dublin.
