Born Sept. 25,1913 in Pulaski County, he was the son of the late William Howard Bentley and Margie Bell McFall Bentley.
He was a retired employee of the Allied Chemical Corporation, Veteran of World War II having served in the United States Army, and a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim Bentley and Tom Bentley,
Surviving are his wife, Nancy Alma Moore Bentley of Pulaski; one son, William Robert Bentley Jr., Pulaski; daughter-in law, Mrs. William Robert (Ann) Bentley Jr., Pulaski; one sister, Mary Magdalene Edwards, Pulaski; one brother, Charles Richard Bentley, Norfolk; one grandson, Robert Joseph Bentley, Pulaski.
Funeral service will be held Friday 2 p.m. at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski, with the Pastor Richard Ashworth officiating. Interment will follow in the Thornspring Cemetery, Pulaski. Visiting will be anytime today after 1 p.m. and the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 this evening at the Bower Funeral Chapel, 1631 Bob White Boulevard, Pulaski.
