OBITUARIES
Julia M. Ward
Malad - Mrs. Julia Ann Moon Ward, 89, of Malad, died yesterday, at her home.
Mrs. Ward was born Dec. 12, 1868, in Farmington, a daughter of Hugh and Elizabeth Kemmish Moon. She was reared and educated in Henderson Creek, Idaho.
She was a member of the LDS Church and had been a Relief Society teacher 35 years.
On Jan. 1, 1896, she was married to Jesse Nicholas Ward in Henderson Creek. They received endowments in the LDS Logan Temple on March 25, 1896. They homesteaded in Arbon Valley, Power County, Idaho, and came to Malad in 1907. Mr. Ward died April 25, 1955.
Surviving are four sons and two daughters, Julia LaVerne Ward, Mrs. L. O. (Ida) Daniels, Jesse L. Ward, George M. Ward, Elmer M. and Eldon T. Ward, all of Malad, 24 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. in the LDS Malad First Ward by Bishop G. Howard Neal. Friends may call at the family home, 606 W. 600 North, tomorrow from 4 to 10 p.m. and Thursday prior to services. Burial in Malad City Cemetery, directed by the Benson Funeral Home.
