Jerrold Patrick Stewart was born on March 15, 1937 in El Reno, Oklahoma to Jack and Ruby (Richert) Stewart. Jerry was reared in the Deer Creek area on a dairy farm and attended school in Deer Creek. Jerry was united in marriage to Patricia Juanita Ragan in Poteau, Oklahoma in 1957. They made their first home in Laverne. They lived in several different places because of Jerry's job working on the Alaska pipeline and working in the oilfield. Jerry started working as a truck driver in 1969 and continued working as one for several different people including Mike Abbey. Jerry drove a truck until 2005 when he went to work for Allen Barby in Rosston.
Jerry loved working in his garden and his grandchildren gave him the most enjoyment in his life.
He is survived by his daughters, Stacey Joanne Johnston of Woodward, Amber Dawn Stewart of Rogersville, Missouri; five grandchildren, Matt Goeres and Monica of Omaha, Nebraska, Christopher and Alec Cameron of Woodward, Julie Mae Stewart of Rogersville, Missouri; one brother, Phillip Stewart of Forgan; three sisters, Celia Ann Verhelst of Forgan, Teresa Perkins of Liberal, Kansas, Darlene Landsen and husband Joe of Beaver; a special friend Kelly Bergeron of Woodward; other relatives and many friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Ruby Stewart, two brothers, Johnny Stewart and Guy Stewart, and his daughter, Julie Jo Stewart.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ft. Supply Baptist Church with the funeral home accepting the contributions
