Beech Bluff, TN - Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Cox Clark, 78, will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 9, 2009 in the Chapel of Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home with Brother Dewey R. Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.

She was born in Hardeman County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Ivy and Alice Thornton Cox, attended the local schools and was Baptist in faith. On May 6, 2009, the world lost a good woman, Elizabeth Clark, known to her family and friends as ''Bit'', she was always there when someone needed a friend. She only had kind words and she never noticed anyone's faults.

Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by a son, Robert Earl Clark; sisters, Dorothy Crouse, Frances Jines and Helen Jean Melton and brothers, David Cox and Kenneth Cox.

She leaves her husband of sixty-three years, Hugh Clark of Beech Bluff; a daughter, Wanda Roe and husband Donald of Jackson; two sons, Hugh Wayne Clark and wife Dorothy of Beech Bluff and Donald Clark and wife Debbie of Jackson; three sisters, Annie Bell Carver of Perryville, TN, Virginia King of Bolivar, TN and Peggy Vires of Parsons, TN; a brother, Buddy Cox and wife Helen of Blue Goose, TN; eight grandchildren, Beth Floyd, Andrea Gowan, Jim Roe, Jessica Gant, Casey Clark, Patricia Jones, Chester Howard and Kenneth Nicholson; eleven great-grandchildren and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
