NORA TYRRELL Dies At Daughter's Home Here
Mrs. Nora Tyrrell, 73, widow of John Tyrrell and resident of this city for the past 21 years, is dead at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Albert A. Schuler of 511 W. Thomas street. She passed away Saturday night after an illness of two weeks.
Mrs. Tyrrell was born at Irish Ridge, in the town of Verona, on Feb. 14, 1859, a daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Gleason Kennedy. Her husband, the late John Tyrrell, who died 12 years ago, was a boatman on the Erie Canal and before coming to this city, Mrs. Tyrrell spent her winters in New York City and her summers on the Erie Canal.
She was a member of St. Peter's Church and of the altar Society.
Two sons, Thomas A. of this city, and John Tyrrell of Indianapolis, Ind., and two daughters, Mrs. Albert A. Schuler and Mrs. Carl W. Schuler, both of Rome, survive. She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Teresa M. Riley of Oneida ,and Mrs. Margaret Burback of Durhamville and a brother, Frank Kennedy of Durhamville, there are 17 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
