ELIZABETH WELLS
DURHAMVILLE - Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Wells, 75, widow of William W. Wells, will be conducted tomorrow morning at 8:45 o'clock from the late home and 9:30 o'clock from St. Francis Church with the Rev. George Oley, rector, officiating, assisted by the Rev. William Brennan of Clarks Mills, the Rev. Joseph Ellis of Syracuse and the Rev. Jerome H. McCarthy of Utica. Burial will be made at Irish Ridge Cemetery, in charge of Whitten and Iles. Survivors include two daughters, Miss Mamie Wells and Mrs. Leroy H. Allen, and two sons, Benjamin Wells, and Frances Wells, all of Durhamville and several grandchildren.
She was born May 23, 1859, in this village, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Harrison. She was a communicant of St. Francis Church and a member of the Altar Society.
(She died on Sunday night).
Her mother's maiden name was Esther Donley (spelled Donnelly on some documents). I have been unsuccessful in locating her grave.
