Albert Francis Apperson was born November 9, 1856 near Culpepper, Virginia. He passed away at his home in Ansley (Custer County), Nebraska, on Saturday afternoon, December 19, 1936, at the age of 80 years, one month and ten days.
At the age of 22, he came west, first stopping at Palmyra in Otoe County, Nebraska. Later, he came to Custer County, where he spent the greater part of an share of his life.
He was a member of the Baptist Church of Christ at Alum Spring, Culpepper County, Virginia.
On February i, 1898, he was united in marriage to Martha Eliza Bennett of Arcadia, Nebraska. He was a loving husband and kind father.
He is survived by his wife, ten children, 19 grandchildren, 2 sisters and 4 brothers. His Father, Mother, 1 sister and 2 brothers preceding him in death. The children: William D. of Burwell, Nebraska, Mrs. D. H. (Carrie, wife of Dick) McCaslin and Mrs. Wesley Mattox of Broken Bow, Neb.; George E. and Warren B. of Corcoran, California; Mrs. R. C. Morrison of Everett, Washington; A. Woodrow Apperson of Sacramento, California; Helen, Walter and Ellwyn, at home.
Funeral service were held at the Wescott Church Tuesday afternoon, December 22, conducted by Rev. W. S. Morris of Callaway, Nebraska.

note: Burial made in rural Wescott or Douglas Grove Cemetery about 2 miles west of Comstock, rural Custer County, Nebraska, cemetery being about a mile northwest from the rural Wescott (Covenant) Church where funeral rites for him were held.
