Church A. Stephens, Rt. 1, Veneta, died July 4 at his home at the age of 76. He was born Aug. 1, 1873 in Lane County, and lived here all his life. He was a members of Elmira IOOF Lodge and Crow Grange.
Surviving are his widow; a son, Clair Stephens, Veneta; a daughter Mrs. Mary Snellstrom, Eugene; two sisters, Mrs. Loretta McCutcheon and Mrs. Lucy Withrow, Eugene; a granddaughter, Mary Nadine Balzhiser, Eugene.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Simon-Lounsbury Mortuary, with the Rev. Frank L. Cook officiating. Interment will be in Stephens Cemetery.
