Clair Stephens
VENETA--Clair Allanson Stephens, 94, of Veneta, died Nov. 27 of age-related causes.
Stephens was born Oct. 6, 1907, in Crow to Church and Bertha Day Stephens.
He married Iola Elam in Eugene on June 2, 1936.
Stephens was a lifetime resident of the Crow-Veneta area. He farmed until retiring in 1991.
His interests included hunting and watching baseball. He enjoyed farming and caring for the sheep on his farm. Stephens was a member of the Elmira Odd Fellows and belonged to the Crow Grange.
Survivors include his wife.
No service is planned. Private family burial will be at the Stephens Cemetery. Chapel of Memories Funeral Home in Eugene is in charge of arrangements.
