Bernard Bittel, 78, 416 E. 15th St., died Tuesday afternoon at St. Anthony Hospital. He formerly farmed near Hays.

Survivors include a brother, Tony, Hays; four sisters, Mrs. Barbara Weigel, Chicago, Mrs. Regina Velle, and Mrs. Frank Seib, both of Hays, and Mrs. Paul Sechrist, Nex Mexico; four step sisters, Mrs. Mary Pfeifer and Mrs. Frank Gaschler, both of Sharon Springs, Mrs. Jake Gabel, Brighton, Colo., and Josephine Seib, Hays.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. A parish wake service will be held at 8 p.m. at Brock's North Hill Chapel. Friends may call from 7:30 p.m. Wednesday until service time at the chapel.
