Antone (Tony) Bittel, 65, 408 E. 23rd, died Friday, March 11, at St. Anthony Hospital. He was born Jan. 3, 1912, and married Margaret Schmeidler June 14, 1950 in Severin.

He was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Hays, and the American Legion.

Surviving are his wife; three sons, Marvin, Hays, Robert and Ralph, both of the home; one daughter-in-law, Mary Bittel, Hays; one half-bother, Frank Seib, Hays; eight sisters, Mrs. Paul (Martina) Sechrist, Pueblo, Colo., Josephine Seib, Mrs. Frank (Germaine) Seib, and Mrs. Bryon (Regina) Valie, all of Hays, Mrs. Frank (Eva) Gaschler and Mrs. Frank (Mary) Pfeifer, Sharon Springs, Mrs. Jake (Abeline) Gable, Brighton, Colo., Mrs. Pete (Barbara) Weigel, Aurora, Colo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Hays, Father Charles Steier; St. Francis Cemetery, Munjor. Parish wake at 8 p.m. Sunday at Wilson Funeral Home, Hays. Friends may call at Wilson Funeral Home between 7-9 p.m. Saturday and 2-9 p.m. Sunday.
