Mr. Parker was born July 9, 1891 at Hibbard. Son of Parley Pratt Parker and Rhoda Lee Parker, he attended schools at Hibbard and the Ricks Academy.
He served an LDS mission to Holland when he was 18 years old. He married Eliza Vera Wilding October 7, 1915 in the SALT Lake LDS Temple. They have resided in Hibbard ever since where he was engaged in farming.
He served in the LDS Church as a teacher in the Priesthood and the Sunday School and served for many years as a ward teacher.
He is survived by his widow and eight daughters; Mrs Mark (Jessie) Ward, Roberts; Mrs. Frank (Leatha) Wilson Port Orchard, Wash.; Mrs John (Irene) Albretsen, Redwood City, Calif.; Mrs. John (Marion) Hamilton Stevensville, Mont.; Mrs. Ethel Cole Burlingame, Calif.; Mrs. Daryl(Cleo) Strond, Cameron Mont.; Mrs. Pete (Aldean) Genther, and Mrs. Billy (Sharon) Christensen, Rexburg. He is survived by 31 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Four brothers and a sister also survive. They are Mrs. George (Myrtle) Muir, Hugh Parker and Dewey Parker, Rexburg; Melvin Parker, Salt Lake City; and George Parker, Soap Lake, Wash.
He was preceded in death by one son Lagrande, and three grandchildren.
The family will meet friends at the Flamm Funeral Home on Friday from 7 until 9 p.m. and at the Hibbard Ward Relief Society Room from 11a.m. until the time of services.
