REXBURG - Aldean Dora Genther, 63, of Rexburg, formerly of Ontario, California, died September 29, 1994 at East Idaho Regional Medical Center.
She was born October 20, 1930 in Hibbard to Vernon and Vera (Wilding) Parker. She attended Hibbard Elementary and Madison High School.
On March 29, 1947 she married Pete J. Genther in Dillon, Montana. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Los Angeles LDS Temple. They lived and farmed in Osgood, Roberts, and Lewisville much of their early married life. In 1963 they moved to Ontario, California. In 1976 they moved to Rexburg to be near her family.
She was an active member of the LDS Church and held several church positions throughout her life. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, playing cards and yard sales.
Survivors include her husband; her children, Alan and Gleneen Genther of Rexburg, Jerry and Wendy Genther of Portland, Oregon, Lyle and Patti Genther of Moreno Valley, California, Gary and LeAnn Geiser of Rexburg, Vernon and Lori Genther of Brigham City, Utah, and Monty and Gene Worthy of Chico, California; her sisters, Jessie Ward of Heron, Montana, Leatha Wilson of Port Orchard, Washington, Irene Albretsen and Sharon Christensen, both of Rexburg, Marian Hamilton of Santaquin, Utah, Ethel McFarland of Great Falls, Montana, and Cleo Stroud of Ennis, Montana; and 33 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, and a brother.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Burton Ward Chapel with Bishop Morgan Beattie presiding. Burial will be in Sugar City Cemetery.
