Joanne Seward Williams, 75, of Claxton, died Sunday, April 19, 2009, in Methodist Medical Center, Oak Ridge.

A devout Christian, she was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother and an active member of South Clinton Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by parents, Joseph A. and Bonnie H. Seward.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Bob L. Williams; daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Bill Koch, Becky and Tim Huff and Karen and Craig Herrell; sons and daughter-in-law, Gary M. Williams and Tim and Lesa Williams; brother and sister-in-law, Roland and Pat Seward; grandchildren, Travis and Amy Williams, Kala Williams, Matthew Harmon, Stephanie Harmon and Olivia Herrell; stepgrandchildren, Caroline Koch, Tyler Huff, Lee and Drew Irons, Matt, Jason and Kristen Herrell; great-grandson, Bryce Williams; uncle and aunt, Frank and Marge Henderson; special cousins, Tom and Debbie Ferguson; and several cousins, nephews and nieces.

Funeral service was at 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, in South Clinton Baptist Church, with Roger Pugh officiating. Graveside service and burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 22, at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens, Claxton. Woodhaven Funeral Home, Powell, is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to South Clinton Baptist Church.
