From Saginaw Daily News Tuesday July 18, 1933:
Sebewaing-Delbert Avery, prominent Fairhaven township farmer, died at Mercy Hospital in Bay City, Sunday. He was born in Fairhaven township August 9, 1878. He was married to Miss Mary Schuch at Sebewaing September 20, 1907. He is survived by his widow and seven children: Clarence Avery, Bay Port; Mrs. Eolah Coates, Flint; and Harold, Elsie, Blanch, Ruth, and Floyd at home. He also leaves three brothers and three sisters: Miss Polly Avery, Mrs. Lilian Schweitzer, Mrs. Harriet Graves and Frank, Fred, and Alfred Avery. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at the Evangelical Church Rev. H. W. Link officiating. Burial will be at Sebewaing.
