WALLACE "WALLY" BENSON
SANDY-Wallace L. Benson, age 86, our loved and respected father and grandfather, died May 16, 1992.
He was born March 6, 1906, in Sandy, Utah, to Adolph H. and Lydia Wistadt Benson. He married Dorothy Fenstermaker in Provo, Utah, on June 6, 1928. She preceded him in death October 2, 1973.
Wally was employed at Jordan School District for 25 years and also worked in the U.S. Mines. He enjoyed traveling and making friends.
Survivors: children, Mrs. Lynn (Jean) Ainsworth; Lynn and wife, Carolyn, both Sandy; Mrs. Don (Carla) Latimer, San Diego, California; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; brother, Gilbert Benson, Sandy. Preceded in death by a grandson, Dennis Ainsworth.
Funeral services Tuesday, May 19, 1992, at 12 Noon in the Park LDS Ward Chapel 9501 Poppy Lane, Sandy, Utah. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Monday 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday at the church from 10:45-11:45 a.m.
Interment, Murray City Cemetery.
