Mary V. Amey, 83, of McAlisterville RD1, died at 7 pm Monday, April 20, 1992, at Lewistown Hospital.
Born October 1, 1908, in Fayette Township, Juniata County, she was a daughter of the late Phillip C. and Ida [Wagner] Varner. Her husband Lee R. Amey, died September 20, 1990.
Surviving are children, Richard L. Amey, McAlisterville RD1, Mrs. Robert [Vera N.] Sierer, McAlisterville RD1; brothers, Emory Varner, Richfield RD1, Amos Varner and John Varner, both of McAlisterville RD1; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Varner; sisters, Amelia Hepner and Bernice Amey; a granddaughter, Kay L. Dill.
She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, the Ladies Sunday School Class and the United Methodist Women.
She worked with her husband in farming.
Services were held Thursday at St. John's United Methodist Church, McAlisterville RD1, with the Rev. Charles E. Tressler officiating. Interment was in St. John's Cemetery.
