Lee R. Amey, 84, of McAlisterville RD1, died at 3:50 a.m. Thursday September 20, 1990, at Meda Nipple Convalescent Home, Thompsontown RD1.

Born September 15, 1906, in Fayette Township, Juniata County, he was a son of the late John and Louisa [Hoffman] Amey. His wife, Mary [Varner] Amey, whom he married November 22, 1927 survives. Also surviving are: children, Richard L. Amey, McAlisterville RD1 and Mrs. Robert [Vera] Sierer, McAlisterville RD1; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by six brothers, seven sisters, and one granddaughter.

He was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, McAlisterville RD1. He was employed as a farmer, lumberman, and had worked for PennDOT.

Services were held on Saturday at St. John's United Methodist Church, with the Rev. C. Richard Beach officiating. Interment was in the St. John's Cemetery. The Kenneth E. Yeisley Funeral Home, McAlisterville was in charge of arrangements.
