Junior LeRoy Shoffner,84,of Covington,died Friday,April 17,2009,from injuires as a result of being stricl by a car Jan.24,2009.

Junior was born in Sidney on June 9,1924,to the late Covert LeRoy and Ethel(Lachet)Shoffner.

He was preceded in death by his parents;Four brothers,Don,Robert,Vic.Wayne Shoffner;and three sisters,Esith Bretz,Betty Levering and Phyllis Fair.

Junior is Suvived by his son and daughter-in-law,Terry and Michele Shoffner of St.Marys;two daughters and son-in-law,Delora"Dee"and Dave Wimmer and Sheryl and Jim Laughman,all of covington;Seven grandchildren,Kelli Wimmer,Robin and Steve Beckstedt,David Wimmer Jr.,Shannon and Rick Arnold,Jeremy and Kelli Laughman,Brandy and Phil Sease and AJ and Drew Poppe;11 great-grandchildren,Daniell,Scott,Samantha and Tyler Wimmer,Sarah Beckstedt,Sadie Arnold,Andon and Trenton Laughman,Samantha Fenstermaker andDean and Weston Sease;a sister,Delores Dishon of Florida;and other relatives and friends.

He was a U.S.Army Veteran serving during World War II,retaired fron Aerovent Fan,Piqua,was a former member ot the Covington Church of the Brethren and past member of the Covington Eagles Aerie No.3998.

A Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m.Wednesday at the Bridges-Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home,Covington with the Rev.Richard Dunbar officiating Interment will be at Miami Memorial Park Cemetery,Covington.
