George died January 5, 1915,from a heart attack.
He and his wife Lucretcia, were driving home from a gathering at their son Samuel's home in Alicel,Oregon. It was winter time. They were driving through the deep snow.
George had just dug some snow away from their vehicle.
The car may have gotten somewhat stuck.
Lucretcia looked over at George as they were again driving and he had slumped over. George had died.
There is an article written of this story in the LaGrande Observer newspaper, at the time of his deat, 1915.
I can't imagine how grandmother Lucretcia must have felt . Snow , probably dark, cold, alone on a county road, and now her husband was gone.
A stong lady , she was I know.
