KNOX -- Funeral services will be held Sunday for Mrs. Della Smith, 91, of 402 W. John St., widow of Cyrus Smith. She died Thursday afternoon. The services will be conducted at 2 p.m. in the Harry Price Funeral Home by Rev. Rufus Gerkin, pastor of the Knox Christian Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery. A lifelong resident of the vicinity, Mrs. Smith for 70 years was a correspondent for the Starke County Democrat and other area newspapers. She was born Aug. 28, 1872, in Willvale. Her marriage took place June 5, 1895, and her husband died in 1960. Surviving are three daughters, Miss Vada Smith, Mrs. Lura Sands and Mrs. Iris Jorgensen, all of Knox; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Lillian Rowley of Hanna, Mrs. Vera Wakeman of LaPorte and Mrs. Ada Mitchell of Zephyrsville, Fla.
