LaFontaine-Charles P. Owen, 87, a retired farmer, died in his home at 4 o'clock Thursday morning after an illness of three weeks.
Mr. Owen, who was born July 6, 1867 in Lincolnville, had been a resident of LaFontaine for 12 years. He was a member of the E.U.B. church.
Survivors including one daughter, Mrs. L. H. Reynolds, South Bend; two brothers, A. T. Owen, Polo, Ill., and J. Lin Owen, Lincolnville; one sister, Mrs. Florence Engleman, Wabash, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The Rev. Louis M. Reynolds will officiate at the funeral services which will be held at 1:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon in the Brenneman Funeral Home and burial will be in the Center Grove cemetery near Lincolnville.
