VANCE - Jewell Denson "Demp" Reach, 76, 17694 Wire Road, died Jan. 5, 2001, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be at Wallace Chapel Nazarene Church on Monday at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Jerry Reach and the Rev. J.W. Kornegay officiating. Burial will follow in Vance Cemetery.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Nim and Lillie Reach; sisters, Oalier Reach and Beatrice Kornegay.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Elizabeth Reach, Vance, Ala.; daughters, Jewell (Henry) Swindle, Northport, Ala., Carolyn (Roy) Medders, Vance, Ala., Jacquelyn (Randy) Kinard, Cottondale, Ala., Janice (Sammy) Elam, Vance, Ala., and Brenda (Mickey) Morrison, Vance, Ala.; sons, Charles (Fay) Reach, Vance, Ala., James (Brenda) Reach, Vance, Ala.; sisters, Opal Kornegay, Vance, Ala., Essie (Robert) Whitfield, Bessemer, Ala., and Bertha (Prude) Pierson, Vance, Ala.; brother, J.R. (Dolly) Reach, Vance, Ala.; 15 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.
