Mississippi, Saltillo - Virginia Elizabeth Swanger, 72, formerly of Memphis, died Tuesday at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo after a short illness. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today at Saltillo Cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Home of Tupelo has charge. She was a Methodist. Mrs. Swanger , the widow of Clarence L. Swanger , leaves a daughter, Nancy Robison of Belden; a son, Jim Swanger of Memphis; a stepson, Jack Swanger of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; two sisters, Hazel Oswalt of Memphis and Kate Greer of Water Valley, nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
